China Telecom Europe is a leading provider of international telecommunication and ICT services.
Serving European multinational enterprises, Chinese-APAC enterprises in Europe, carriers, telecom service providers and Europe-based Chinese consumers. Their extensive global network provides services that span the world.
The Brief
China Telecom wanted to upgrade their London offices to provide multi device compatibility and a more immersive experience.
In particular their meeting rooms, training and reception areas and general audio-visual capability needed to allow better connectivity and remote access.
The Solution
We planned and installed a comprehensive new cable infrastructure to provide secure reliable connectivity throughout the building and scope for future additions and expansion.
Once this was in place, we installed a number of solutions to the meeting spaces including native Zoom and Bring Your Own Meeting (BYOM) systems and a mix of fixed and portable 4k displays. Each room was fitted with an intuitive and user friendly, touch screen control panel.
The larger divisible meeting space was upgraded with a 4 screen Video wall and 65” interactive display. A comprehensive audio solution, including ceiling mounted beamforming microphones for VC/UC integration, and a wireless microphone system.
The Network Operations Centre was fitted out with desk displays and a large dual wall screen solution cabled to local PCs.
The main reception area was additionally equipped with a fully customisable digital signage system.
The Result
The office’s many meeting spaces now have a user friendly, well equipped, standardised system in place for local and remote collaboration with large modern displays.
Multiple devices and systems can easily be accommodated via the BYOM solutions installed. The new cabling is discrete, efficient, fully integrated into the building and future proofed.
Several of the rooms can be easily reconfigured to accommodate a number of scenarios and the main reception boasts a modern customisable signage display system. The Network Operations Centre is now equipped with large modern desk and wall displays.
Conclusion
China Telecom’s London Headquarters is now a fully connected space befitting the companies name, from the reception area to the board room and training space.
The cable infrastructure is well planned, up to date and adaptable for the future and the Network Operations Centre has large clear displays worthy of the vital monitoring role it plays.
